A million thank-you's (and two BIG updates)

Thank you for reading Under Deconstruction — your support allows me to keep doing this work. And by “support,” I mean all of it, from your initial subscription and moral support to everyone who upgraded from free to paid (even during this phase of all access being free).

I do have a couple of BIG updates:

1. I will soon be switching to a paid subscription model for Under Deconstruction—most posts will require “paid” access to read in their entirety and comments for all new posts will be limited to paid subscribers. My purpose for charging a subscription isn’t merely to sustain the work, it’s also to foster a sense of community. Because of the nature of the topic, guests sometimes like to debate or even troll posts about faith, the nature of truth, etc. But this is a troll-free zone and always will be. A paywall really helps keep it that way.

2. But Adam, why did you put “paid” in quotes up there? Great question! In lieu of paying actual money to subscribe to Under Deconstruction, it would mean just as much if not more if you invited friends to subscribe and read with us. As you refer friends, you will receive “paid” benefits that give you full access to Under Deconstruction without paying anything.

How to participate

1. Share Under Deconstruction. When you use the referral link below, or the “Share” button on any post, you'll get credit for any new subscribers. Simply send the link in a text, email, or share it on social media with friends.

2. Earn benefits. When more friends use your referral link to subscribe (free or paid), you’ll receive special benefits.

• Get a 3 month comp for 2 referrals

• Get a 6 month comp for 3 referrals

• Get a 12 month comp for 5 referrals
